We headed out to Eastern Wisconsin this weekend to visit Nana. We picked up my friend Tina who was visiting from AK to drop her off in Appleton for a visit with her extended and family and took off. It was super great traveling with Tina, we laughed so hard at times that I was worried we might not stay on the road....I have to wait for her to email me our travel pics. The kids were troopers. Mazie was amazing. The only real meltdown was on the way from Appleton to Fond du Lac. The kids had had it. It took 7 hours to make the trip with 1 extended stop and 2 little ones. My dear friend Lynda came to Fond du Lac for a visit with her son Max and the kids had a great time playing piano, running around and becoming instant best friends. Earlier in the day, my mom had taken Piper shopping and let her pick out a couple of fancy dresses. Fittingly, Piper picked out a beautiful pink fluffy dress with oodles of tulle, along with a white hat with a pink ribbon and matching barrette. When Piper found out friends were coming she immediately wanted to get dressed up in her new duds for a night out. I had decided that dining in would be more enjoyable than dining out with 4 kids but Piper was so disappointed and saddened by being all dressed up with no place to go we decided to head to the Pizza Ranch anyway. We were a force at the restaurant. Woo!
Surprisingly (or not), Chris is having a great time in Mexico. Dallas and Racheals wedding went smoothly and I will post pics when I get them. He gets home on Monday and we cant wait! We have missed him.
