Bryant Lake Beach

We headed to the beach yesterday with the Cagles. Everyone had a blast in the clear lake waters at Bryant Lake which is surrounded by lovely houses in the suburb of Eden Prairie. The kids chilled while Arianna tugged them along on the fish floatie and we all marveled at Ariannas new swimming skills. Impressive. We hobnobbed with likes of Ian Leonard who I am now on a first name basis with. I actually have a history of meeting weatherman, I must send out a come hither vibe to meteorologist as they are my only star sightings. Prior to Ian, I knew Ken Barlow. You know you are jealous.

We had a great time visiting Fond du Lac. We took the kids canoeing/paddleboating for the first time and they did great! Uncle Brendan came along for the fun. It ended in an intense paddle splashing which we all appreciated since it was quite hot. We also enjoyed many dance shows by Piper as Brendan played the piano. Finally, the kids met their cousin Declan who is 18 months old and also lives in Fond Du Lac.

Rookie of the Year!!!

Chris, of course, won an award tonight for "Rookie of the Year", he was one of 5 nominees. In his nomination it was not even mentioned that Chris held a window (19 stories high) at Centre village during a severe windstorm, while directing fire and policemen on how to handle the situation. Nor did they mention how Chris, in a suit, ripped insulation from a chiller to help contractors fix the chillers for residents. They DID mention how within a few months of starting at Gittleman Chris was put in charge of multimillion dollar projects at multiple sites. Way to go Chris!!! We are sooooo proud of you!!!

Whats cookin?

Lots is cookin at the Campbells. Yesterday we made fresh homemade raspberry lemonade to take to a lunch date we went on and today we made Renee a mexican chocolate cake for her birthday. The kids love cooking. I love the look on Pipers face in the lemon pic. She is using every bit of strength to get out all of the juice. Cute. Now for a game.... Can you find Mazie in the bottom picture??? I did not even realize she was in it until I just reviewed the post and caught her in the corner of my eye. Wednesday is Chris' award banquet. He was nominated for "Rookie of the Year" by the CAI. Not sure what that stands for but we are proud of him and his hard work.

Swim, Bike, Run

I finished. Now I want to do it again and right my time. I probably should not have waited in line to use the restroom while on my run and I could have lost the parachute coat on my bike. All in all it was FUN!! Challenging, but worth it.On a side note, this did not create the most flattering pics but I will post them anyway.
