Atticus and his funny and not so funny comments...

#1. This is a doozy: How did Jesus and Kingers get dead? Yes, he actually asked me that. HEAVY!!! With the addition of Rockstar to our family Atticus has been very interested in where King went, what he has been doing and when he will be returning to our house. We have had to discuss King being sick and very old. When we talked about king being old Atticus replied " Am I old? Is anyone in my family old"? Nothing gets by Atticus. It has been a lesson in choosing our words VERY! carefully.

#2. Yesterday, I told Atticus I was going to call work and see where they needed me to work Atticus said " No mom, call work and tell them you are not coming to work, then you can stay with me" Awwwww, cutie!

#3. Atticus has been in to rhyming lately, however, he is a naughty rhymer. "Mom, ask me to rhyme truck!" You can guess where this is going.... " Mom, lets rhyme Bucket...." Me: "Atticus that is not funny" Atticus: " hee, hee, I wont say it I will say suck it". Soooooo, Atticus has had some reflection time for his semi obsession with obscene language and potty talk. The trouble is, he never says the words it is merely implied with giggles and mischevious eyeballs. On that note I bring you #4
#4. We were out shopping for school clothes when Atticus told the saleslady, completely unprovoked. " I am going to be a rapper and make lots of money". Well, he does like to rhyme.....;)

Piper is 6 !!!!

 

 

 

Piper turned 6 on Tuesday and everything was prefaced with " Can I do this because I am 6 today?! and OF COURSE! she could!! She had a cinnamon donut from Caribou and grapefruit for breakfast, pizza for lunch and macaroni for dinner. Piper and her little friend Caelan got together with me, grandma and aunt amy for a spa day at Scooops kid spa. Piper and Caelan got manicures with grandma and then we came back to the house for cupcakes. It was a lovely day and Piper is loving being six. Last night at soccer, Piper told some of the kids (which included Atticus) on the team that the " little kids should listen to the 6 year olds" oooohhh boy. Piper has really gained confidence in the last few weeks and learned a bunch of new things; making phone calls with a 99% success rate, including area code, riding her bike, putting up her hair neatly, and a couple more things that are not coming to me right now. She has also been very helpful with Rockstar and Mazie!

Atticus requests a name change....

Atticus- " My name is Atta-Kiss, ATTA-KISS?!, I don't like it. Call me Dudey" or call me Atta-Alvin".
