Santa! 2010.

 

 

 

We brought our lists: Atticus wished for a dart shooter, a dart shooter and darts. He also wished for a dart shooter. Pipers is as above and Mazie just wanted a toy, she is not picky. At Target she always says " I wanna guy". She gets that from big brother. It is worth noting that prior to our Santa visit Piper gave Mazie a head tattoo and Mazie sucked a marker. We were lookin' classy. We went to the 3rd floor Santa to see him but they were booked for the entire season!!! This Santa offers the " Santa Experience". Hmmmm. So we went to the " Mothers who procrastinate Santa" in Nickelodeon Universe. We were well received there and felt amongst friends.

was great fun! Everyone with the exception of yours truly ended up with a vomiting ailment of sorts but we had fun anyway. We played scrabble, made food and relaxed (some threw up and had diarrhea but we do not need to dive too deep into that):) While the Campbells were away the snow fell and fell and fell in Minneapolis! We missed the blizzard of 2010 but came home to a buried car! NEATO! Our sweet neighbors took care of our sidewalks and entry way so we made cookies on arrival to our abode to offer our great thanks!

Atticus' Big Adventures!!

Atticus has had many firsts recently! First, he was picked up by the Ortmeier family in their van to go to a birthday party for Max at Chucky Cheese's (another first for Atticus). It goes without saying that Atticus was thrilled and had a great time. This weekend he had another first, a sleepover at Zane's. They also had a blast, and I am starting to feel like Atticus is already growing up on me.

Piper was a princess, Atticus was a builder...

 

 

 

 

and Mazie is Piper and Atticus!!!! She loves wearing their clothes. She says " I wear Pipers pants" or " I wear wear Atticus' shirt" and helps herself to digging in their drawers for attire to don. Here are some photos. My favorite is Mazie wearing Atticus' dirty underwear as an over the shoulder tank. FUNNY!

First Snow!!

 

And this is the only picture I got, noone would hold still!!! We built snowy the snowman with the light and fluffy cloud snow that dropped. We also pulled the sled around the block and had shoveled. This year, the kids love to shovel, how lucky is that!!!

yes, Chris won our family a 100$ giftcard by winning a contest to name an asphalt company's new piece of equipment! Way to go Chris, that is a clever name. For those not in the know, Bitumin is what is compressed (?) to make asphalt. Or something of that sort, as you can see, I am not one in the know of those things.....This Best Buy giftcard is being saved for the eventual purchase of a very sweet camera for yours truly.

Naked Mazie looked at Piper and Atticus playing outside. I said " Do you want to go outside?" Mazie said " Yeah, I need a hat" and pats her head. Apparently she doesnt feel pants necessary.

Piper: Mom, where you born in the 60's?
Me: No, I was born in the 70's.
Piper: Where things invented yet?
Me: Hmmm, like what?
Piper: Like tv's? Cars? Dresses?
Me: yes Piper, we had tvs, cars and dresses. We were very fortunate.

3rd? or 4th Annual Halloween Beer(and wine) walk

 

 

 

 

Here is my late Halloween blog. We had a great Halloween celebration. We started with spooky healthy treats at our house with friends and neighbors and the ventured off on our beer walk, where the kids trick or treat and the adults sip on wine and beer. Very fun every year! Amara and Piper got quite the collection of candy this year as they covered about 8 blocks!! The most ever. Mazie understood the concept this year and seemed amazed that everyone gave her candy. She only hit about 5 houses because after every house she immediately ate the candy. She consumed more candy in 1 hour than she has in all of her 2 years. She seemed very thankful for this and politely told everyone "thank you" and "your welcome".

Mazie is 2 !!!

 

 

and she can tell you so too!!!! Today she also started parroting Atticus' "Ahhhhh" when we tell her she has to wait for something. Mazie has been playing dress up lately too. Today she told me " I want to wear Boppers clothes". Wow! that is starting early.

Seward Halloween Parade

We played games and marched around the Seward neighborhood Friday with some of Pipers school friends. They did a great job with a police escort and some very, VERY! Creative costumes. My favorite was 2 little boys dressed up as racecars. I could not do their homemade costume justice by explaining it but boy was it awesome. Their was a pretty cool robot too that you can see in one of the pictures if you look hard enough.
