After presents

We enjoyed the warm, snowy weather. Sam got some exercise.

Grandma too!

We built a cute little snowman although Atticus quickly ate his carrot nose.

We tried to sled. But sank instead. Very wet and heavy snow.

Atticus got a shaving kit. Fake of course, but it still made us cringe.

Christmas Day.

On the night before Christmas, I headed to work on the snowiest day the year. The roads were rough on the way home, but I certainly felt like Santa, wrapping presents for the fun day at Grandmas.
Atticus was first to wake, followed by Piper. Mazie and Samantha took a bit longer. Everyone was happy to give gifts and see smiles.
A smile from Chris.

A smile from Mazie.

And all of Pipers smiles, she wore her matching Mirabel (her american doll has the same dress) dress for 4 days straight before agreeing it was dirty.

How to wear out a kid....

Sledding. Snow Eater!
Gotta love those rosy cheeks.

Climbing up is hard work! Yes, Piper IS wearing a dress over her snow pants. A fancy dress at that!
Going Down makes it worth the hike.

The Campbell family joined forces to make Ms. Lucio a quilt for Christmas. She has a baby due in June and the class has been working on patterns so I thought a quilt would be fun. Piper was thrilled to work on the quilt, she traced and cut out squares. She also decided on the pattern for the quilt. I am so excited to have a new helper. I sewed the squares together last night and then Chris took over and sewed on the backside. Ms. Lucio loved it and her class will be examining the pattern today in math class. Piper was grinning from ear to ear after giving it to her!!

Piper making a card for her gift!

In other Christmas news, Atticus went snooping for presents today. He found a piggy bank that was from Mazie, here he is saying thank you to Miss Maze for the very thoughtful gift. We put it back in the closed where it will stay until the holiday. I am hoping he forgets about it and will be surprised again on Christmas day.
