Visit from Nana

Nana came for a visit this weekend. She enjoyed an art project with Piper and we all went for dinner at the cheesecake factory. We had a nice time. Sunday we went over to the Holm's house for a campfire and Smores. It was a perfect day for that. Unfortunately, Liam was a little crabby as it turned out he had a double ear infection. Yuck. We are enjoying the sunshine today and are preparing for a trip to the nature center, we just need Ms. Maze to wake up from her nap!!!

Fun Fall Day

Mazie is our newest little investigator. She is into everything, exploring. She especially loves the refridgerator. Here is her look of surprise when she gets busted reaching for the PBR.

We were thrilled to look outside and see our first substantial snow. Mazie smiled and put her hands out to feel it coming down. She seemed to really enjoy the cold stuff. Atticus and Piper were both ecstatic to wake up to a white backyard. I think that most of the excitement was the joy they get when eating it. The snow eating has not ceased with age as I had hoped. I took Mazie and Atticus in the sled while Piper was at school. After school, Piper joined in the fun and played in th backyard.

Here is the beautiful pumpkin Atticus picked out at the orchard. He fell in love at first site and made sure he could see the pumpkin on the van ride home.

Apple Orchard

It was such a gorgeous day yesterday we spontaneously decided to go pick some apples. No Honeycrisp available for picking but we got Harrelsons for applesauce and firesides for nibbling. We were one of only a few people there so Atticus got to ride the barrel train 2 times in a row to his elation. He also enjoyed driving the truck while Maze hung out in back.
