Incriminating evidence...

Piper took these pics of Atticus stealing croutons from the cupboard. I am laughing out loud as I look at the " series" of photos of Atticus's little crime. We have a rule that the kids are not allowed to grab food without permission. In order to document this event, Piper had to climb onto the office chair and grab the camera. Then, because I am sure Atticus didnt wait for Piper to grab his croutons, Piper had to encourage him to grab the croutons again. Of course, I am sure he was thrilled to oblige. So here is " Atticus in the Act".....
Opening the cupboard and looking for a tasty treat.
Next, peaking in the box.
And finally, BULLSEYE, got the crouton, and now I am seriously BUSTED!!!!

All Better Now

We have had an exciting couple of weeks. All of our children have been to the doctor at least twice for various ailments. Atticus takes the cake, however, with a grand total of 4 visits in 1 week. It started with " Uncle Dallas'" first day with the Campbell trio while I went back to work. Atticus fell on his head while watching t.v. I am still trying to wrap my head around how that happens but it did. So, he needed stitches and off to the toxic germ tank he went (the ED) where he picked up a variety of delicious bugs that radiated through the family.... even Chris and I got to join in the fun!!! If a family has to be ill though it was a good week to be sick as the temp dipped to the double digit negatives.... WOW! So to keep everyone sane and moderately healthy and to break out of the " Bob the Builder" coma we found ourselves in we spent a good deal of time in the basement. Piper is loving the swing we installed, she likes to jump off the stool with the swing and see how high she can get. It does scream " INJURY" but I am letting this one go. For Christmas her favorite present was hopscotch and I have loved it too, she goes downstairs by herself to play hopscotch and swing. They have also rediscovered the Rody which is an orange donkey they hop around on. Since Atticus has been sick with snow covered mountain sized tonsils he has been less interested in the obstacle courses we were doing before but still has managed to hop around on the donkey.

Piper and Atticus have been loving Dallas as a babysitter. Dallas let them watch Batman. Old School cartoon batman. Piper is obsessed. All she wants to do is watch Batman and it is making me long for the princess days...as Batman is a little dark for a kid. Chris and I have said no to Batman but she has watched it on the sly and grandmas and with Dallas. I do have to say though that I do have a soft spot for Robin if it is only for the catchy " Holy Hamburgers Batman". I love that. And, you cant deny that any cartoon that combines Batman with Scooby Doo where Batman saves Scooby Doo is a winner......its true, that is a cartoon. Piper watched it.
